Roma May 2023 – ‘STORYTELLING’
Four exhibition spaces, a collection, more than 15 artists protagonists of International Street Art. The most important exhibition of the year in the Roman spaces of ContestaRockHair; on Wednesday 10 May in the CRH hall in Testaccio (piazza S. Maria Liberatrice 46) from 6 pm, STORYTELLING, the stART exhibition – Open your Eyes – collection curated by Gian Guido Grassi, was inaugurated, with a series of works by established artists in the the field of contemporary art and the international urban scene. From an expressive form of protest, Street art has today established itself as a global artistic movement, breaking out beyond its vocational and militant context “the street” to reach the most prestigious museums in the world, simultaneously arriving in unconventional urban spaces. Contestarockhair, in line with its principles of connection between art and the street, between urban life and open spaces in continuous movement, between links with the territory in national and international contexts, celebrates Street Art and its protagonists by proposing a contemporary exhibition in four of the its main Roman salons, from Testaccio to Monti, from Prati to Pigneto, the works from the collection will contaminate the Contestarockhair salons, making us experience a real journey, a flashback through different moments and places. STEN AND LEX, MONEYLESS, ARIS, FRANCESCO BARBIERI, ALEXEY MOROSOV, NOCURVES, OZMO, ALICE PASQUINI, TELLAS, ZED1, 108, JOYS, GAIA, AEC INTERESNI KAZKI, are just some of the Street artists present in the exhibition. The most disruptive and global cultural phenomenon of the last 40 years continues to influence the collective imagination and change the face of cities, the same will happen in the ContestaRockHair salons, spaces created without geographical and expression limits, perfect for celebrating the convergence between energy of the street and the creative component, from which Street Art is born in all respects.
